Welcome back to Olin! I am excited to have all of you back on campus, and look forward to getting to know each of you.
I would like to take this opportunity to introduce myself. My name is Laura Cotten and I joined the staff at Olin College in mid-August. My role at Olin is two-fold. My title is the Assistant Director of Admission and Post Graduate Planning, and as this indicates, I will spend half of my time working with the Admission staff, and half of my time working with the Post Graduate Planning staff. I have enjoyed the past few weeks getting to know the staff in each office, and learning more about Olin.
I have just completed my Master of Education in Higher Education Administration from the College of William and Mary in Williamsburg, Virginia. Prior to this I lived and worked in the DC area. I earned my Bachelor of Science in Anthropology from James Madison University, also in Virginia. As you can tell, I have spent most of my adult years in the Commonwealth of Virginia, or nearby. This is in fact my first time living and working in Massachusetts, so I am very excited to be here! As my colleagues will tell you, I am slightly nervous about our upcoming winter season, but I hope I will be able to adjust well!
Please feel free to stop by if I can answer any questions, or if you would just like to say hi!
