After what felt like forever of planning and tinkering, I am thrilled to see our student blog up and running! While I'm a little nervous about my own blog, I'm pretty excited to read about what the rest of my "co-authors" (?) are up to, and just see how the blog is received in general.
Like Jeff and Ellen, I think our student government, fondly known as the Council of Olin Representatives (CORe -- yeah, we're serious about creative acronyms) is the largest chunk of my commitments this semester. Plan on hearing a lot about this.
I also try to do my part for the Olin Volunteer Ambassador League (OVAL -- not kidding about the acronyms), which is the student group that assists Admissions by giving tours and helping run major events. These are the people with name tags and gray vests that don't discriminate about being just ever so slightly off on how they fit on you. You'll know when you see them on campus.
Outside of this, I'm going way out of my comfort zone and performing in this year's Babson-Olin production of the Vagina Monologues. Given that I've never really acted before, let alone been part of such a powerful, controversial production, this is a big first for me. And it's only two weeks away!
