TEDxOlinCollege

From December 6 to December 10, 2010 Olin College is hosting a series of events built around the webcast of the global TEDWomen conference centering in Washington, DC and connecting live to self-organized events across the globe as part of the TEDx program. TEDxOlinCollege will connect Olin College with thousands of people from every continent, creating a dialogue over the course of the two-day TEDWomen event (12/7-8), which will continue in the greater Boston area, via the MA Conference for Women on December 9 and then around the world as the TEDTalks are released on the Internet! This first-ever TEDWomen event – co-produced with The Paley Center for Media – invites men and women to explore the question “How are women and girls reshaping the future?”

In addition to hosting our own series of events focused on the power of ideas to change attitudes, lives and ultimately, the world, Olin College will webcast the live TEDWomen event in its auditorium. Please see below for the full schedule of events and visit often as we continue to expand the details!

About TEDx

TEDx was created in the spirit of TED's mission, "ideas worth spreading." The program is designed to give communities, organizations and individuals the opportunity to stimulate dialogue through TED-like experiences at the local level. At TEDx events, a screening of TEDTalks videos -- or a combination of live presenters and TEDTalks videos -- spark deep conversation and connections. TEDx events are fully planned and coordinated independently, on a community-by-community basis.
