Jordyn Burger is an engineer, designer and researcher driven by improved patient outcomes in healthcare via technology. Jordyn is an Olin alum (2014) who studied Engineering with a concentration in Biomechanics. While at Olin she was a member of the Engineering Education research team, where she found a love of qualitative research. This, along with her storytelling (check out her Olinsider posts about life at Olin) spurred her career as a designer. Jordyn is currently a product designer at PathAI. There she uses her skills as a problem solver to focus on real human needs throughout the design process. Previously, she has worked at a variety of healthcare companies and organizations, including athenahealth, and received a Fulbright in 2017 to the Netherlands to research ways to design for improved patient engagement and outcomes. There, she attended TU Delft, and learned about the Dutch design and healthcare systems. Jordyn is excited to be back at Olin as a teaching fellow. Feel free to say hello if you see her on campus! You can spot her by looking for someone short.
