Built on Generosity
At Olin College of Engineering, we honor philanthropy as a virtue. Olin owes its existence to the foresight of Franklin W. Olin and the generosity of the F.W. Olin Foundation. We know that the greater Olin network of partners, parents, friends, family, faculty and staff are committed to the continuing upward and outward growth of Olin and what the school represents.
We welcome those interested in contributing to Olin to review the methods of giving listed below. And we thank you for your investment in Olin.

Gifts-in-kind are non-cash donations of materials or other assets. We do ask that gift-in-kind donors contact the Olin development office when planning their donation. This allows a representative of the school to ensure that we can approve the gift. Those wishing to donate a gift-in-kind to Olin College are invited to email Katie Rollauer, Director of Advancement Services, or call her at 781-292-2264.
Those wishing to make an endowment gift to Olin College are invited to email Alanna Boyd, Interim Vice President of Development, Family and Alumni Relations, or call her at 781-292-2289.
There are many ways to create your own legacy at Olin by making a planned gift. Legacy gifts include bequests, charitable gift annuities, donations of retirement plan assets, and the inclusion of Olin College in your will. For more information on planned giving, please email Alanna Boyd, Interim Vice President of Development, Family and Alumni Relations, or call her at 781-292-2289.
Qualified Charitable Distribution (QCD) or IRA Charitable Rollover
A person who is 70 1/2 or older, and owns a traditional IRA, but does not need all or part of the required minimum distribution, can make tax-free IRA contributions directly to qualified public charities, such as Olin College. Read more information here.
Online Bill Pay Service
Donors who wish to use their bank’s online bill pay service to make a donation to Olin are invited to read this document for instructions on how to do so.
Employer Matching Gift
Many companies support gifts to higher education institutions like Olin by matching them with a gift of their own. This is a simple and “painless” way for donors to increase the size of their gifts, which, in turn, has a significant effect on the gift’s impact. We encourage interested donors to check with their employers regarding their participation in charitable gift matching—or search online for participating companies.
