Academic Affairs

The Office of Academic Affairs is responsible for all academic programs and policies,the faculty, student life activities, the library and information technology. The VP of Academic Affairs is the Chief Academic Officer of the college.

Admission

The Office of Admission recruits and selects students that demonstrate academic excellence, passions beyond the classroom, strong interpersonal skills, and leadership abilities. Admission candidates must possess a desire to contribute to the Olin community and pursue a rigorous undergraduate engineering program. The Office hosts a variety of on- and off-campus events, including an annual Fall Open House, an Open House for Women, and two Candidates' Weekends.

Careers - Post Graduate Planning

The Office of Post Graduate Planning assists Olin students in obtaining internships and full-time employment, applying to graduate school, and developing links to professional associations and mentoring organizations. It supports them in identifying and obtaining meaningful professional and co-professional experiences that enrich their lives and lead to life-long contributions to society.

Communication

Olin's Office of Communication is the liaison between the College and the news media and general public. The office manages Olin's website and the production of college newsletters and publications.

Computers and Cognition Group

The Computers and Cognition Laboratory investigates questions of how people think and learn, how computers might help us to do these things, and whether thinking or learning is something that a computer might do.

Development, Family and Alumni Relations

Seeking to build long-term private giving in support of Olin College, Development, Family and Alumni Relations's foremost responsibility is assisting donors in reaching their philanthropic goals, while carefully protecting their privacy.

Financial Affairs

Financial Services personnel are business partners providing accurate, timely, and useful information and analysis to assist other departments in achieving objectives that support the College's goals, while safeguarding the College's assets.

Library

The library furthers Olin College's mission by selecting, developing, deploying, and managing resources and services that foster learning, discovery, and innovation. We strive to embody Olin's philosophy of continual improvement by leveraging emerging technologies & practices to serve Olin and the broader learning community.

Operations

The Operations Division focuses on providing timely services and outstanding experiences to the Olin College community. Whether you are looking to book a meeting space, report a problem with lighting, plan a conference, meet a friend for lunch in the dining hall, learn about new software, get information on employee benefits at Olin, provide feedback on capital projects, purchase supplies, understand services available from Babson, Wellesley or Brandeis, or need the assistance of a Public Safety Officer, Operations staff are available to assist you.

Campus Services

The Campus Services Group provides for the daily operational needs of the Olin community, including facility services, project management, purchasing, public safety, parking and transportation, ID cards and mail services.

Environmental Heath & Safety

The Environmental Health and Safety Department is dedicated to building the Olin community into the safest and most compliant institution of its kind.

Mail Services

Mail Services processes incoming, outgoing, and campus mail and sells stamps, envelopes, and packing supplies at the Mail Room window.

Public Safety

The Department of Public Safety provides law enforcement, security, and emergency services to the Olin and Babson College communities 24 hours a day, seven days a week.

Purchasing

Purchasing is committed to handling the procurement of goods and services in the most efficient and effective way possible.

Dining Services

The mission of Olin's Sodexho dining services team is to create and offer services that contribute to a more pleasant way of life for people wherever and whenever they come together.

Human Resources

The role of the Human Resource Office is to provide the highest level of service to all Olin College employees in such areas as: employment, benefits, employee relations, compensation, management consultation and training.

Information Technology

Dedicated to providing bold and consistently excellent information services that uniquely differentiate the core learning experience of the Olin community. Through leading edge technologies we enable 21st century leaders able to predict, create, and manage innovation with unprecedented skill.

Family and Alumni Relations

Olin's Office of Family and Alumni Relations is the liaison between the college and its parent and alumni constituents. The office serves as a resource for parents, other family members, alumni and alumni parents. Its purpose is to build significant relationships between these constituents and the Olin community to grow the Olin family. The office manages the constituent volunteer groups including the Parent Advisory Board, Parent Organization and Alumni Association as well as plans events such as Parent Orientation, Family Weekend, Homecoming and Reunions. This office also supports Development initiatives to encourage networking and increase constituent participation rates.

President

The Office of the President is responsible for overseeing all of the college's operations - from external relations and development to strategic planning and academic policies. As the chief officer of the college, the President promotes the mission of Olin College.

Student Accounts and Records Center

The Student Accounts and Records (StAR) center provides students with excellent customer service and one stop shopping for registration, financial aid, bill payments and transcripts.

Student Life

Responsible for academic advising, residence life, student activities, orientation, honor code, student accounts and records, health services, mental health services, spiritual life, recreation, and performing arts.

Study Away

The Deans of Faculty and Student Life oversee the study away program. Juniors may participate in one of four direct exchanges, 23 pre-approved programs, or propose their own away experience to the Standing Committee on Study Away.
