Ph.D. and Master's Programs in Engineering

To start your exploration of graduate study in engineering and technology, talk with your faculty advisor and the graduate school advisor. He and/or she will be able to point you in the direction of relevant information and resources.

In addition, there are numerous print and electronic resources available. Current graduate school catalogs and brochures, as well as a variety of graduate school guide books, are available in the Post Graduate Planning Resource Center (CC 316). On-line resources include the department/degree program web sites of other universities, Peterson's, GradSchools.com.

The Graduate Record Exam (GRE) is the most widely required exam for admission to Ph.D. and Master's programs in Engineering.

An Interdisciplinary Approach to Graduate Study
The Integrative Graduate Education and Research Traineeship (IGERT) is a program developed by the National Science Foundation to improve the graduate experience. IGERT provides interdisciplinary graduate training for students who wish to pursue careers in the sciences, mathematics, engineering or technology. Students receive tuition and fees scholarships, plus a $30K annual stipend.
