“I came to Olin looking for change in education, not really thinking about how I would effect change.”

Major:
Mechanical Engineering

“I decided to leave the previous university that I was attending to come to Olin because I believed in the innovative vision of the College and the thought of being a part of an educational experiment was exciting to me. I admired the passion and quirkiness of the students and faculty that I met and I wanted to live and work with people that I felt inspired by.”

“Since coming to Olin I've been an active participant in clubs and students activities on campus, including Open (Olin's all-inclusive LGBT group), Chinese Club, and the Olin Dance Project. I also started my own club, Cheese club, which continues to have several cheese tasting events every semester. In addition, I was a resident resource, 'R2', during my sophomore year.”

“I also had the opportunity to study business and Swedish language and culture in Stockholm, Sweden during the fall of my junior year.”

“Having studied mechanical engineering with an informal concentration in product design while at Olin, I plan to spend a year or two developing my artistic side after graduation. My current plan is to study French and studio art in Montreal, Canada and then pursue further international studies or work assignments, most likely in product design.”
