Leslie wants to be involved in community service and possibly business, which are both opportunities easily available at Olin.
As a high school student, Leslie took advantage of opportunities presented to her, and even made some of her own. An avid student, Leslie earned an International Baccalaureate Diploma, a great achievement reflecting her excellent academic success. In addition, Leslie was instrumental in starting her high school's bowling teams, which quickly established a presence in the state. In her senior year, Leslie's girls bowling team took third place in the state competition, and she took fourth place in the individual competition.
While Leslie does have an affinity for math and science, she holds a great deal of respect for all forms of learning, which is one of the reasons that she chose to come to Olin. In addition, she wants to be involved in community service and possibly business, both of which are easily available at Olin. Calling Olin “one-of-a-kind,” Leslie fell in love with this innovative new college and the uniquely personal attention that it offers students.
Following her arrival at Olin in the fall of 2005, Leslie quickly jumped into college life, joining several clubs and co-curriculars. She is currently aiming to earn a general Engineering Degree, and plans to eventually earn a Ph.D. However, no Olin student would be content with just math and science, and Leslie is no exception. She also plans to start a scholarship program to help others get a good education, and she also plans to turn her love of animals into a “no-kill” animal shelter.
