    Olin College President Richard K. Miller was asked to speak at noted journalist Tom Friedman’s Next New World Forum in San Francisco on June 12, 2014. Miller shared the stage with Harvard’s Tony Wagner, author of the book Creating Innovators: The Making of Young People Who Will Change the World. The panel focused on Developing an Innovation-Driven Workforce.

    Rethinking engineering education

    On Tuesday, March 4, Dr. Richard K. Miller, President, Olin College of Engineering presented his talk "From the Ground Up: Rethinking Engineering Education," at the View from the Top lecture series.

    During the lecture Miller outlines three questions that Olin College has been pursuing since its founding just 17 years ago:
    1. Are we attracting the right people into engineering?
    2. Are we teaching them the right material?
    3. Are we using the most effective teaching methods?
