We understand that visiting campus is the ideal way to get a better feel for who we are and what life at Olin is like. While we are disappointed we are unable to host on-campus visits, we hope you will still connect with us online through one of our many interactive programs to learn everything there is to know about Olin.
Live Information Session
Our Live Information Sessions are 60 minutes long and give you the opportunity to hear from both an admission counselor and a current Olin student. The admission counselor will present for approximately 45 minutes before an Oliner joins the call for the Q&A portion of the Information Session. Learn all about Olin's unique admission process, financial aid, institutional values, curriculum, and student life! Sessions available on Mondays and Fridays.
Since you can’t come tour Olin's campus, we’re bringing Olin to you! Join Olin students for a 60 minute live and interactive tour experience. Learn about the student experience directly from current Olin students through personal anecdotes, photos, and videos. Experience Olin's campus, community, and culture through an Oliner's point of view. Tours available Mondays through Thursdays.
Hangin' with Oliners
Want to get the inside scoop on life at Olin College, from the perspective of our students? Join one of our “Hangin’ with Oliners” drop-in sessions to chat with current Olin students. These are one-hour, drop-in style sessions (meaning join anytime during the hour!) designed to give you an opportunity to ask current Olin students whatever questions you’d like. Our students love sharing their experiences, so no matter what’s on your mind, they’ll be happy to share with you what life at Olin is really like! While you can join the session whenever you'd like during the hour, registration is still required to get access to the session. Oliners will be available anytime during the scheduled hour. Sessions available on Fridays throughout the fall.
Olin College of Engineering offers high school seniors with strong potential for Olin's collaborative, project-based engineering curriculum who would not otherwise have the financial resources to visit our campus the opportunity to attend Olin’s Mix & Mingle fly-in program during the month of October. We invite students to nominate themselves, or counselors to nominate students. Nominations will be reviewed by the Olin Admission Office.
The tentative dates for this year's Olin Mix & Mingle fly-in program are October 18-19, 2020. In light of the COVID-19 pandemic, Olin is unable to host in-person visitors to campus at this time. As such, Olin Mix & Mingle will take the form of a virtual visit experience this year. More details about the schedule are forthcoming and will be communicated with all participants. Due to the small number of Olin student hosts available, our fly-in program is limited to high school seniors and students who for other reasons are planning to enter college in fall 2021. Unfortunately, we are not able to accommodate nominations for international students at this time.
Nomination forms must be submitted by September 23, 2020, and all materials (including an unofficial copy of the student's transcript) must be received by October 5, 2020 in order for the student to be considered for a fly-in visit to Olin.
For counselors nominating students, students will be sent an additional form to express their interest in visiting Olin College. For students nominating themselves, your counselor will be sent a counselor nomination form along with information about the program.
Please contact Alia Georges, Assistant Director of Admission & Financial Aid Counselor, at email@example.com with any questions.
Video Interviews with Olin Admission Staff
The Olin Admission staff is conducting one-on-one video interviews (by video conference) with prospective students through October 1. Interviews are typically 30 minutes in length, and are a great opportunity for you to ask questions about Olin and tell us more about you and your interests! Please note that interviews are optional in the Olin admission process and unfortunately not all prospective students can be guaranteed an interview. Interview times will be filled on a first-come, first-serve basis and are limited to prospective students who will be applying for Fall 2021 admission. Please note that prospective students may request an Olin Admission Staff Interview OR an Olin Alumni Interview, but not both. Interviews are available Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays through October 1, 2020.
