Careers.  Alternative energy systems.  Storage.  Wind.  At a growing rate, Olin alumni are moving into these fields, learning about the hard problems facing our planet, and finding solutions.  Join us for this 4-part series on sustainability and meet the people who are doing something about it.

Series 1: Software Careers in Climate

In our first session, alumni Steven Zhang and Jaime and Jason Curtis will talk about frameworks for 1) - thinking about software careers in climate, and 2) thinking about personal career growth as a software engineer/professional.  They will share how they got to where they are today, and how you can find the path, working on these hard problems, that is right for you.

Who Are We?
Meet Jaime, Jason, and Steven, all class of 2012!

· Jaime & Jason Curtis built on their combined 20 years of experience in software and climate solutions to launch Option Zero, the software consultancy for climate companies & initiatives. Fun fact: while at Olin, they co-founded Olin Sailbot (now Olin Aquatic Robotics).

· Steven runs ClimateTechList.com, a company directory/job board for software engineers looking to work in climate. Previously he worked at Airtable and Tableau as a software engineer. Steven became an interviewing expert once culminating in getting 18 SWE offers out of 22 in a job search. Fun fact: he spent a year after Olin doing environmental journalism in China through the Fulbright program.
