Capture It: The Inspiration App in Apps for Kids

Traditionally, the tools of engineering and design have been something that only professionals had access to. Now, SolidWorks is creating a group of apps to appeal to a younger demographic, called Apps for Kids. The users are kids 4 to 14 years of age, from Kindergarten to 8th grade. The 2015-16 SCOPE team developed the brainstorming app, called Capture It, to inspire and prepare kids to tackle their own projects. Capture It allows users to capture ideas and moments through pictures, video, sound and drawings. On an infinite canvas, users can create their collage on both mobile and desktop devices.
