The Class of 2023 families and their guests may enter the tent and find seats starting at 12:15 p.m. ET.
A reception will follow the ceremony. Graduates and their families, Olin College staff, faculty, students, alumni, trustees, friends and guests are all invited to attend.

The President's Reception
Saturday, May 13 from 4:00-5:30 PM.
Graduates and their families are invited to join President Barabino, faculty and staff for this reception to celebrate together and enjoy food and drink.

Health and Safety
At this time, Olin is a mask-friendly environment. Any individual who prefers to wear a mask in shared spaces is always welcome to do so and we expect all members of the community to respect the choice of any individual to wear a mask. When gathering indoors in large numbers/close quarters, masks are encouraged. For full community health guidelines, visit olin.edu.
Parking and Accessibility
There will be onsite parking available for guests. We will have golf carts available for guests who require additional assistance.
Requests for accessible seating should be sent to the Commencement Operations Committee at commencement@olin.edu.

Families may wish to make reservations for meals off campus while in town to celebrate Commencement. View a list of dining options in Needham and nearby towns.
Weather
Commencement will be held outside in a tent on the Great Lawn, rain or shine.
Photography and Video
We will have professional photography and video teams on campus and will share photos and video with you after the event.

Messages for Families of the Class of 2023
Dear Parents and Families of the Class of 2023,
It is just about one month until Olin Commencement 2023. We are so excited to celebrate this milestone with you, your families and your graduates-to-be.
We just finished another Commencement planning meeting, and all the details are falling into place.
As a reminder, the ceremony itself takes place on Sunday, May 14 at 1:00pm EST. The event will be livestreamed for those family members who cannot attend.
Prior to that there are a few activities we hope you will consider attending as part of Commencement week:
Tuesday, May 9 - Expo: An end-of-semester celebration of student work.
Students may share a favorite project from a class or a passionate pursuit, a research experience, or another endeavor.
Location: Miller Academic Center
Time: 9:30am-3:30pm EST
Wednesday, May 10 - SCOPE Summit
The Senior Capstone Project in Engineering (SCOPE) teams will present the results of their year-long projects.
Location: Norden Auditorium/livestream will be available
Time: 1:00pm-4:30pm EST
Saturday, May 13 - President’s Reception
Location: Olin Oval
Time: 4:00pm-5:30pm EST

We're starting to get excited here on campus as planning begins to accelerate. We are especially excited to celebrate this milestone with you, your families and your graduates-to-be.
Did you know that Commencement falls on Mother’s Day this year? It will be an extra-special day, and we are looking forward to honoring our mothers and mother-figures in addition to the Class of 2023.

Believe it or not, we held our first official Commencement meeting this week, which means Olin's 18th Commencement is, if not right around the corner, certainly not too far away.
We are truly looking forward to celebrating your graduate's milestone accomplishment in 2023.
