In The Princeton Review’s 2024 edition of its annual college guide, The Best 389 Colleges., Olin appears as #2 in Best Classroom Experience.

“It’s wonderful to see Olin recognized by the Princeton Review for another year for the things we know we do so well,” said President Gilda Barabino. “The creativity, hard work and passion for this community is evident in everything our students, faculty and staff pursue.”

Olin consistently ranks high in many “Best Colleges” categories; the 2024 edition boasts a repeat No. 1 ranking of “Students Study the Most.” The annual “Best Colleges” list includes unique ranking lists that highlight specific ways in which schools stand out, and the 25 top colleges in 50 categories are based on a 165,000-student survey.

In Olin’s profile, The Princeton Review notes that “most semesters offer at least one new experimental course (and the classes that aren’t new are better than they were last semester). Faculty are ‘interested in how their teaching works,’ and there is ‘constant improvement in the curriculum and learning styles.’”

“At the end of their time at Olin, students emerge as engineers with ‘fantastic and practical technical skillsets’ that they are able to wield in a variety of settings,” says the report.

Only about 14% of America’s 2,700 four-year colleges are profiled in the book.
