The Princeton Review chose the 392 colleges for the book based on its surveys in 2025-2026 of 2,000 college administrators about their school's academic offerings. Only about 14% of America’s nearly 2,800 four-year colleges are featured in the Review’s guidebook. The 50 ranking lists reported are based on data from the company's surveys of 172,000 students at the 392 schools in the book (about 439 students per school on average).
Olin College of Engineering improved its rankings in the following categories:
- #1 Professors Get High Marks (previously ranked as #6)
- #2 Best Classroom Experience (previously ranked as #8)
- #7 Best College Dorms (previously ranked as #10)
Olin is also recognized on the following Princeton Review lists:
- #4 Students Study the Most
- #8 Great Financial Aid

In Olin’s profile, The Princeton Review shares student comments on the curriculum.
“The professors ‘are all passionate individuals that understand the content really well and are constantly adapting their courses to make it a better experience for students.’ Ultimately, because so much work involves being ‘in pairs or groups,’ enrollees categorize Olin as ‘a very collaborative environment’ where ‘everybody is willing to help out and bring each other up.’”
