NEWS: President Lee Shares Her Career Journey During GIRL Congress Panel

Olin College of Engineering President R. May Lee spoke on a morning panel at GIRL Congress, an all-day leadership conference for high school girls held at Fordham University’s Lincoln Center Campus on March 14, 2026.

President Lee joined other leaders in higher education for the “Leading Women in Our Lives Seminar,” sharing her personal journey from undergraduate studies to a career in law and ultimately to the presidency of Olin College.

Organized by high school members of Girl Scouts of Greater New York, the conference brought together high school girls from across New York City for a day of inspiration, networking and career exploration.

In addition to sharing career reflections and explaining the role of a college president, Lee and fellow panelists reminisced about their high school experiences, networking tips, current reads, and favorite Girl Scout Cookie flavors.
