David has 40+ years of industrial experience. He has held leadership and technical roles at Digital Equipment Corporation, Compaq, Hewlett Packard, Bose Corporation, and other major organizations. David also founded and led Neoteric Product Development, providing consulting expertise in product innovation and engineering development for a number of years.
In parallel with an extensive industry career, he has spent more than 40 years teaching in the Department of Mechanical Engineering at MIT as a lecturer / instructor and served as an adjunct professor in the Department of Mechanical Engineering at Boston University. This combination of academic and industrial experience has shaped a career grounded in both practical execution and engineering education.
David is recognized for expertise in advanced process and materials development, product design, cost estimating, design for manufacturing and assembly, and product benchmarking. David has authored over 24 papers on these and other related topics. He is also a multiple-patent holder, reflecting a long record of innovation and applied problem-solving.
