2024 Summer Party in Lexington, MA

Any current student or alumni, or their families. You are welcome to team up with another Olin family in your area to share the fun of hosting! Incoming families are not asked to host.

Current students, alumni, incoming students, and their respective families. Most people attend a party near their home; but you may also get students who are interning in the area, or families on vacation in your area.

Absolutely! You still have plenty of Olin experience to pass on to incoming families; the current and alumni families will be excited to have the opportunity to get together.

Many parties are held in the hosts’ home or backyard. Other options are a local park; a destination such as a ballpark; or an ice cream shop, coffee shop, or restaurant.

Absolutely not unless you want to. Most hosts ask the guests to bring food and arrange a potluck meal. You might also ask your guests to bring lawn chairs, decorations, lawn games, musical instruments.

No funding is provided by Olin but each host will receive a party in a box consisting of Olin swag, name tags, pens/markers, etc.

All the parties will be listed on the Olin Summer Parties page, on Olin Facebook pages, and in the Parent and Alumni oLinks. Emails will also be sent. Host names, date, party city/state will be listed. There will be a link or form to RSVP, which will provide host contact information and further information about the party.

Most hosts share the cooking with all guests by having a potluck meal. Some hosts have arranged an “adjusted potluck” by having the guests each bring a salad and/or a dessert; and the host provides food or orders pizza.
