Career Services - Student + Alumni Resources

Welcome!

The Office of Career Services and Post-Graduate Planning assists students and alumni in their journey to enrich their educational experiences, careers and lives in order to make lifelong contributions to society. Our career center helps identify meaningful research, internship, scholarship, fellowship, professional and graduate school opportunities.

We are committed to ensuring that every student has access to high-quality advising, meaningful opportunities, and the tools needed to navigate an evolving career landscape. We prepare students to pursue post-graduate paths aligned with their skills, values, and evolving market realities. Success is defined not by a single outcome metric, but by a combination of meaningful outcomes, informed decision-making, and sustained career readiness in a rapidly changing employment landscape.

Students and alumni seeking support from career services may drop in to the office, Campus Center 316, or schedule an appointment through Handshake. Additional resources can also be found on the Post-Graduate Planning Libguide.

Our Commitment

High-Quality, Aligned Employer Partnerships

We prioritize relationships with organizations that align with Olin students’ interests, values, and career aspirations—including innovation, impact, collaboration, and ethical practice.

  • Focus on “right-fit” employers rather than high-volume recruiting
  • Support students in identifying organizations that reflect their goals and values
  • Encourage employers to engage authentically with Olin’s unique student profile

We deepen partnerships by embedding employers into the curriculum and co-curricular learning environment.

  • Collaborate with the Senior Capstone Program (SCOPE) to connect sponsors with student teams solving real-world engineering challenges
  • Facilitate opportunities for employers to sponsor courses, Project Teams, or experiential learning initiatives
  • Encourage sustained engagement beyond recruitment through mentorship, advising, and project-based collaboration

Access to Meaningful Opportunities

We ensure students have access to internships, full-time roles, research, and other post-graduate pathways that are substantive and developmentally valuable.

  • Partner with employers offering high-impact, hands-on roles aligned with Olin’s applied learning model
  • Maintain equitable access to opportunities across industries and student interests
  • Support employers in designing roles that effectively leverage Olin students’ strengths

Responsiveness to a Changing Talent Landscape

We position Olin as a forward-thinking partner in an evolving workforce environment.

  • Maintain ongoing dialogue with employers about emerging skill needs and industry trends
  • Prepare students for adaptability, lifelong learning, and interdisciplinary work
  • Continuously refine engagement strategies based on outcomes and feedback
