Before joining Olin, she completed her PhD in Robotics at Carnegie Mellon University. At Carnegie Mellon, she taught a course on Ethics and Robotics, which contextualizes robotics, AI, and machine learning within cultural conversation, ethics, and power relationships in society. She is passionate about teaching and mentoring undergraduate students, with an emphasis on improving diversity, equity, and inclusion. Outside of computer science and robotics, she enjoys experimental baking, swing dancing, and knitting.
