Crosswalk Safety Automation

It is well established that high-visibility pedestrian crosswalks improve safety on roadways. However, crosswalk infrastructure varies substantially by location and some crosswalks require pedestrian interaction to activate safety measures. This team will be exploring opportunities to automatically identify the presence of pedestrians and activate safety measures to improve pedestrian safety.
