Michael Sutton Named to Olin College Board of Trustees

Michael Sutton, P.E. has been named to the Olin College Board of Trustees. Sutton is the CEO and founder of Infrastructure Engineering Inc. (IEI), a civil and structural engineering firm committed to building community in tandem with infrastructure.

Sutton brings a depth of experience in business and a deep desire to make a difference to Olin’s fourteen-member Board of Trustees.

Michael Sutton (PE), brings a depth of experience in business and a deep desire to make a difference to Olin’s fourteen-member Board of Trustees.

Sutton holds a professional engineering license in six states and has over 30 years of experience working with professional consulting firms.

In addition to his position on the Olin College Board of Trustees, Sutton is also a member of several professional associations including the American Society of Civil Engineers (ASCE), American Council of Engineering Companies (ACEC), Airport Minority Advisory Council (AMAC), Airport Consultants Council (ACC), Conference of Minority Transportation Officials (COMTO), and Transportation Diversity Council (TDC). 

Over his long career, Sutton has participated in an array of philanthropic, civic and community related work. He is a member of 100 Black Men of New York, a member of The Greater Harlem Chamber of Commerce, Advisory Board Member of CUNY Grove School of Engineering, a Board Member of The Foundation for City College of New York and the founding member of the Council of Black Architect and Engineering Companies (CBAEC).

Sutton has a civil engineering degree from Northwestern University in Evanston, Illinois.
