Fulbright U.S. Student Program Award

Olin’s Tolulope Oshinowo ’23 has received a Fulbright U.S. Student Program award to research the cross section between technology and public policy with a focus on sustainability at the University of Toronto in 2024. This award is given by the U.S. Department of State and the Fulbright Foreign Scholarship Board.

Tolu will first enroll as a Masters’ student at Princeton this fall, then will take a leave of absence in spring 2024 for the Fulbright, before returning to Princeton.

“I will be contributing to work at the University of Toronto on improving information systems used to support climate and environmental justice advocacy in Toronto,” explained Tolu. “This project is in collaboration with scholars from University of Toronto’s Dalla Lana School of Public

Health and several community-based organizations in the region. The project team is planning to use participatory design methods to evaluate existing environmental justice reporting tools and develop alternatives that more closely meet the needs of community organizations in the region.”

Olin is consistently included on the list of U.S. colleges and universities that produce the most Fulbright U.S. Students. Since its first graduating class in 2006, 18 Olin alumni have gone on to receive and complete Fulbright grants.
