Dr. Arnet’s technological passion is located right at the intersection between embedded software and physical systems.

He earned his Ph.D. in electrical engineering from the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology in 1997 and subsequently moved to Massachusetts to join Solectria Corp. At Solectria, Dr. Arnet developed electric propulsion components for electric and hybrid-electric vehicles and eventually led the engineering team. During this time, he gained substantial expertise in the design and control of power converters and electric drives. He was awarded 6 patents as primary inventor and authored a number of technical papers. Since 2012, Dr. Arnet is working at Plexim Inc, a company which specializes in modeling and simulation tools for power electronics engineers. His current focus is the development of products for model-based code-generation and continuous software validation. Dr. Arnet is a senior IEEE member and serves as an advisor to the robotics shop at the Medford vocational technical high school.
