Before joining Olin in 2017, Kristin served in career services roles at Tufts University and The New England Institute of Art, as well as a multimedia localization technical lead. Landing initially in the Collaboratory within Academic Life at Olin, Kristin was able to express her passion at the intersection of technology and education. In her academic external engagement role, Kristin coordinated faculty development workshops, managed the academic visitor program, and built ongoing relationship with educators from around the globe.  Currently Kristin serves at the Director of Post-Graduate Planning, where she and the PGP team support students in their explorations of internships, jobs, grad school, fellowships, and other experiential learning opportunities. Within PGP, Kristin also maintains strategic recruiting partnerships with a variety of organizations, fosters cross-college collaborations with peer schools, and takes an active part in Olin’s expanding alumni engagement efforts. In Kristin’s roles at Olin, she has collaborated with and served a wide variety of constituents, including external educators, Olin faculty and staff, alumni, students, parents, recruiters, SCOPE partners, and vendors. Kristin initialized approval through the Massachusetts Department of Education for Olin to be an authorized PDP provider to educators through attending professional development offerings at Olin.

Kristin has served on the President’s Strategy Team, Sustainability Steering Committee, NECHE Accreditation Committee, the ad-hoc instructional technology support team developed during the pandemic and served as a KEEN Leader managing Olin’s membership in the Kern Family Foundation’s engineering network. Kristin is a 2019 recipient of the Stephen Hannabury Award for Outstanding Service.


Interests and hobbies:  

Kristin volunteers for the Needham History Center, the Equal Justice Needham Housing group, and the Plugged in Band – an after-school music program. Kristin loves live music, gardening, supporting her family farm, learning about historic architecture, supporting sustainability efforts to mitigate climate change, fighting for housing equity and social justice, organizing social events, and ten-pin bowling.
