Kofi Taha is part of the Affordable Design and Entrepreneurship teaching team, working specifically to support student projects that address food insecurity in Massachusetts. He is also the Associate Director of D-Lab at MIT where he primarily works on developing the Creative Capacity Building methodology -- an asset-based approach to community-led livelihood and quality-of-life technology design. He has co-facilitated village-level trainings in many countries and is coordinating support for the establishment of local innovation centers in Uganda, Tanzania, Ghana, Guatemala, Haiti and Brazil. Kofi is also part of the Multicrop Thresher design team and has been known to mention that he is from the Bronx. He studied political economy at Columbia University and international development at MIT.
