New Glenn Assembly Tooling
Blue Origin LLC is developing technologies to enable human access to space at dramatically lower cost and increased reliability. The company is currently developing the New Glenn orbital vehicle. There are several processes in the initial assembly of the rocket and the maintenance between launches that could be improved. The SCOPE team developed a custom tool with specific torque values to attach and remove avionics harness cable connectors to help decrease both the assembly time and turn-around time of the New Glenn launch vehicle.
