Energy Harvesting from Water Flow

Our project goal is to improve manufacturability and control of a device used to generate electrical power from waterflow in order to power in-pipe sensors. We are developing a control system to optimize the amount of energy we generate to provide consistent and robust power for WATTS's needs. Our work will allow these devices to be made at scale, enabling access to electrical power for WATTS’s sensing devices, and will help with inexpensive and low-maintenance data collection.
