Olin's Majors: The Student POV

Hello! My name is Pauline and I’m a current sophomore majoring in Mechanical Engineering and concentrating on entrepreneurship and one of the main reasons I decided to come to Olin was the classes. To show the range of Olin majors to be explored I went around and interviewed Oliner upperclassmen within the different majors. Meet the Members of Olin's Society of Women Engineers (SWE!)

Here at Olin, we have clubs as far as the eye can see! Everything ranging from our incredibly popular Olin Fire Arts Club (their performances are FIRE, check them out at their YouTube Channel) to our Rocketry project team that competes nationally. One important organization on campus is our active and inclusive Society of Women Engineers (SWE) Chapter. SWE provides Olin students- (of all genders)- who are interested in promoting women in engineering, with professional development opportunities and mentorship.

We attended the SHPE Conference in November of 2022 and left with many insights that we hope will help you! Most importantly, we wanted to emphasize how important and helpful conferences can be. There’s so many opportunities and inspiring people, and we hope to encourage you to go to a conference and take advantage of this in the near future 🙂.
